The Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering (GSBSE) is a unique graduate program that includes the University of Maine as the Ph.D. granting institution and six cooperating academic and research institutions within Maine. The GSBSE offers a PhD degree in research areas such as Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics & Genomics, Toxicology, and Neuroscience.

Tufts University: Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences
The PhD programs in the Basic Science Division of the Tufts University School of Biomedical Sciences are designed to prepare students for research-focused careers in academic institutions of higher learning or in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry.
