Maine Medical Center (MMC) promotes the development of new knowledge and facilitates its application in ways that benefit society. Within the medical center, the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) facilitates the practical application of knowledge by protecting, marketing, and negotiating the sale of rights of commercially viable intellectual property to partners that can bring the property to market. The mission of the Office of Technology Affairs (OTT) is to make MMC’s technology available for public benefit, to promote research by facilitating collaboration with industry, and to generate research-supporting income. Researchers who think they've discovered a new technology, be it a process or a material, are encouraged to speak with Todd S. Keiller and complete an invention disclosure form.

Todd S. Keiller
Todd S. Keiller offers thirty years of experience in licensing, business development, and marketing. His work in the industrial sector has included ten years in the Science and Medical Products divisions of Corning Glass Works and encompassed a variety of sales, marketing, and business development roles.

Todd’s fourteen years of academic licensing experience includes the position of Vice President for Ventures at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He has additional licensing experience in a variety of scientific fields.

Todd joined Maine Medical Center in June, 2004.  He holds an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business Administration.
