Dr. John Bancroft is a pediatrician and the PI on the National Children's Study. He received an M.D. and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Colorado School Of Medicine. He completed pediatric gastroenterology training and was a William Cooper Procter Research Scholar at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the George W. Hallett, Jr. Chair of Pediatrics at MMC and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts University and University of Vermont Schools of Medicine.
Dr. Bancroft is a regionally and nationally recognized expert on pediatric gastroenterology, serving on the NIDDK DSMB for the Childhood Liver Diseases Research and Education Network and the Taskforce on Subspecialty Clinical Training and Certification of the American Board of Pediatrics, among others. His research interests include pediatric inflammatory bowel disease, endoscopy, and nutrition.
