Maine Medical
Center’s Grants and Contracts office is located within the Research Institute’s
Office of Research Administration on the Scarborough campus and is
responsible for coordinating the internal institutional administrative
review and processing for all (1) clinical study contract agreements
with industry (i.e. pharmaceutical) sponsors, and (2) research grant
applications prior to their submission to external funding sources.

Mentored Research Committee
The Mentored
Research Committee (MRC) has been in operation at MMC for over 40 years. This
committee places a high priority on trainee (e.g., residents, fellows,
students, nursing students working
with an established nurse researcher, etc.) research and on original
investigations into new areas. Its
goal is to provide “seed” support for projects with high
potential to result in publication or presentation of results at a
regional or national meeting. The MRC meets bi-monthly
on the second Monday of the following months: January, March, May, July,
September, November.
