APPLICATION PROCESS

Eligibility

There are specific eligibility requirements for applicants to this program. At the time of application submission, a student must (1) be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student or (2) be a senior in high school. Make sure that you are eligible before completing the application. Applications from students who are not eligible will not be reviewed.

Submission of Application Packages

The prospective students should submit the application package directly to the Summer Student Research Program Coordinator. The application package should include the following:

  1. Application Form
  2. Resume
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendation
  4. Recent two (2) years of official transcripts
  5. School and home address, telephone number and e-mail address

The application must be postmarked by January 31st. Please note: all documentation within the application should be received in one envelope.

Selection and Acceptance

The selection committee will meet in late February, and a letter of acceptance will be sent to the students by mid-March. The selected summer students will be assigned to one of the laboratories. Prior to starting, Principal Investigators will contact the students to discuss their upcoming project. During the program the students become temporary employees of MMC and will need to go through a health screening and orientation.
