CORE is comprised of multidisciplinary clinical investigators whose goal is:
- To conduct meaningful epidemiological and outcomes research that can improve our understanding of health, identify better ways to deliver health care, and improve the health of our community;
- To educate medical students, residents, health care professionals, and our community in scientific methods and clinical reasoning to help patients and providers make better clinical decisions and healthier choices;
- To use our research methods to help improve and evaluate health care delivery programs and new technologies. Our specific research mission includes understanding variations in care, improving patient-provider communication, developing patient-centered decision support tools, and integrating evidence-based medicine into clinical practice.
